Hello sir, I’m a mechanical engineer graduate with your explanation with good analogies some how i could understand the theory topics & executed few simple programs.
But, I couldn’t understand labware 3 problems in file management can you please help me on those topics.
Sir, labware 03 has 2 topics. First, rotate.c is a program that you are supposed to develop and run it on any Linux / UNIX platform. The labware page indicates the general principles only. Secondly, labware 03 has several pages of sample File System blocks on the hard disk. These are only for general perusal and understanding the principles of Direct, Indirect, Double Indirect data blocks etc. that UNIX file management system uses to store files. The pages indicate the possible contents of blocks on the hard disk partition. Note that inode blocks are all together followed by data blocks.
